Peter Lik Masterpiece design sells for record-breaking price.
This outstanding home was conceptualized and designed by award-winning photographer Peter Lik.
Sold by Gavin Ernstone of Simply Vegas, this outstanding home was never placed on the open market but instead was sold to one of Gavin’s long list of very qualified buyers.
Located in the heart of the Family Islands National Park, off the Queensland coast in Australia. Balinese inspired architecture and constructed totally from materials shipped from the mainland. The remote island had no power or water services making it a real challenge for construction.
When I hiked through the dense jungle of this property as soon as I purchased it, a 20 foot high granite boulder really caught my attention. It was a natural progression to build my Bedarra Hideaway around this boulder, making it an architectural feature.
Along with architects from San Diego, we looked to help grow a new vision for Mission Beach. We wanted to revitalize the area and support the renovation of homes in the area. We took it one step further, starting from scratch.
They thought I was crazy when I told them we were designing the first home with a rooftop pool. I wanted each floor to bring the ocean indoors, designing special corner doors allowing for the most amazing beachfront views.
A private resort, created to be soft, clean, organic and a contemporary work of art. One that celebrates nature as an integral part of the design.
